Is that easy? If yes, HOW?

Thank you.

Copy the files and optionally database (if moving to another server), then edit paths and db access info in include/conf.php file

I am so delighted. I've been searching ALL over, coming up with redirect stuff, yada-yada, and just now found this. (another answer same in another thread by Theodore with the crawly bug sig. Thank you too! I must have finally used the right search terms.)

I had an old install that never worked right, so I installed the new version in a new folder. Have been hunting all day how to kill the old install and move this new one to that folder.

I never dreamed it would be as simple as deleting the old folder and DB, re-naming the new folder same as the old folder, and editing the config file. That's how computers should always work! :p

:: worried about lightning striking me now because this was just too simple ::

Am really loving this 4.1.5.2

Hi,
1. Backup everything.
2. Export your database.
3. Modify configuration.php.
4. Upload all of your files to your new server.
5. Import your database to your new MySQL server.
6. Test your new installation.

Hi,
many people are suffering with this problem but their is solution to each and every problem first you copy all the server files in a folder and update the database then modify the configuration.
