Localization and author privlegies problem

its nearly 48 hours and i am still expecting a resolution. today i sow the moderator online on this forum i have sent kim messages but support works only 3 minutes a day so he could not see my message he lef the forum soon. so i have to wait for another 24 hours just if he comes around just for 3 minutes. you never respect your customers do you? but you are supposed to give support due to your 6 months support agreement. and it is not support at all. if i went to any forums i could get a response in this time from one i have even not paid to.
it is so annoying situation.

We will gladly help you if we knew what was your problem. So, instead of yelling "help me", please state the problem clearly. In this whole thread I haven't seen what was exactly your problem? All you said was "help me localize my site", and then wrote 5 messages saying our support is bad.

In logs of our support (which I just checked, btw) there isn't a single email from user "Keddy". From what I could identify, you were sending emails from account named "websi tesi". Why are you using 2 different emails and expect us to identify you?

Now, please give us the web address (url) of your website, and temporary FTP access so we can see to your problem. The reason why Turkish characters are not displayed properly isn't due to the software, but due to some settings you performed. Take a look at this website: http://www.bulnews.com/ - as you can see it has Turkish characters displayed normally!

So, give us the access, and we'll see to the site and identify your problem.

I have sent the problem by mail and i sent pm 3 or 4 times. couse the problem cannot be solved in one messages .i know couse i have tried many possibilities. so i first wanted you tell me ( as you know your script well) what kind of settings do i need have to do. that is the what i kept you asking. the worst thing is just few minutes you are checking the mails. after whatsoever i write i cant get any message before 24 hours. if you wait few more minutes i may solve the problem maybe in 5 minutes but just to tell me check other page is taking 24 hours. its really annoying. you should offer us at least 1 hour a day and we can know that there is someone there and can message till we do the correct settings.
the link you are tolking about is not correctl showing the language characters.
http://www.bulnews.com/news/4.html the character G with the line over it is not correctly displayed. but i seen an arabic site in here and it was looking ok and it was set utf-8 it means any languyage can be set correctly but you have to know and list the to do s on this site. there must be a knowledgebase page and from installation to configuration you should list any issue one by one. so me and people like me appyly you only
when they need something more skilled such as changing headline script you put on the playground.
i am not able to give the password now. i can send it 2-3 hours later.

Finally i have solved the problem by myself.
now there is other things i need to sort out.
1- in the index menu there is
More Top News: but i could not fint from thich page shall i translate it?
2- admin menu i just want to translate only writer and editor pages. can you tell me the right directory and righ page for that?
3- Can i make rss feedings on other sites html index? if yes how?
4- on the playground index there is a nice changing headlines script. can anyone tell me how to do it? i have tried but could not make it work.
maybe these questions issues of the other sections but since i have started here countiniuing. sory for that.
i will be so glad if anyone can answer me on this matters.

Find this line in you include/lang/ directory (for the language you're using):

'category_headers' => 'More Top News',

And translate it. If it doesn't exist, add to the end of the file.

in admin/templates: index_editor.tpl, index_writer.tpl, menu_editor.tpl, menu_writer.tpl .... I think you get the point :rolleyes:

i did it before you answered me i had to checked hundereds of page to find it((( and it wasnt there where you told it was in template files.

now i am trying to ad some editors. but editor has too much previliges. editor can delete any articke. writer even can not ad an articke. trusted writer same with the guest.
how can i ad a user whose can only ad artickles and can edit only his pages and can not delete anything.

ok, I think you messed something up with level of access combined with categories... Editor needs to be able to delete articles (that's why it's called editor), HOWEVER he/she can do it system wide, or only for specific category. You can define that in Users tab by granting access to categories or whole system. This way you restrict editor's privlegies only to certain categories. Pay special attention to "Category" field in Users -> Manage users.

As for trusted writer, only difference between 'normal' writer and trusted writer is that trusted writer can publish article immediately, while writer does not have the option to set article as Active (editor needs to do that). Of course, also pay attention to categories where writers are allowed to post.

İ have tranlslated many of the words but some words are still hiding))
i could not find the dates on the page to translate.
each news has date over the headlines. even i have translated the dates shown on the left column under the archieve ,the dates appears over each news are still in english.
from which page i can translate them?

i have created an editor and gave privileges ony for one category but when i logged in as editor i could delete anything from any category.
when i logged in as writer and trusted user there was no option of as artickle there was only configure artickle option but there was no artickle to configure.

This happens in case there are no articles in category where writer has access to publish. Articles that are not in categories where writer can post are invisible to him/her.

yes there was category and artickles in it. but i dont want him ti change other peoples artickle. and i want a writer could be able to ad an artickle. but there is no option to ad an artickle for writer and trusted user .
